CDL Musical Theatre is an initiative of
the Choral De Lites and dedicated volunteers from the community. A
great amount of thanks goes out to our many parent volunteers and sponsors from the community without whom this
exciting youth performing arts program would not be possible. :)
CDL
Youth Musical Theatre's goal is to provide a fun and inspiring environment in which young hopeful actors
and singers can learn and experience musical theatre as a respected art form and creative--often challenging--discipline.
THE PRODUCTION TEAM...
(AND WE'RE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A FEW MORE GOOD MEN OR WOMEN!)
JENNIFER DOWN is Executive Producer
of CDL Youth Musical Theatre and our year-end production: GREASE. She dedicates countless hours toward making CDL Youth
Musical Theatre and the Choral de Lites Choirs a success Along with our Musical Theatre Director, Music Director
and Choroegrapher, Jen is passionate about the need to provide excellence in musical theatre education and experiences
for our youth. She is also active as the President of the Volunteer Board of Directors for the Choral De Lites. Jen
also joins us as a volunteer parent. In previous years, Jen was involved on stage with Scugog Choral Society in
previous years and found that her children have also inherited an interest in music and theatre. Well known for her
sense of humour, Jen's enthusiasm and leadership and have long been visible via the amount of volunteer work she attends
to at RH Cornish Public School in Port Perry. Jen is the perfect choice for this key Leadership role as she

music and theatre. With a Bachelors Degree in Dramatic Arts, Liz also studied voice at the University level and with the Canadian Royal Conservatory of Music. She
ran a private studio as a music educator for several years (Kindermusik) and has worked with professional and amateur theatres
across Ontario and in the U.S. Some of her local appearances on stage include
lead roles with Onstage Uxbridge (Mame, Nunsense, Sweet Charity), Scugog Choral Society
(Gypsy, Annie Get Your Gun), and Oshawa Little Theatre (Nuncrackers). Her published playwright credits
include Operation Daddy: Here Come the War Brides! (2006), Once Upon a Winter's Eve

JENNIFER HAMILTON is
our CHOREOGRAPHER. This busy Mom of three and school teacher takes time out from her busy schedule to
work out the bop-shoo-wah dance moves for GREASE. Jennifer is a Port Perry resident who has
extensive professional dance experience as a perfomer and choreographer...and has always proven to be a motivating
and inspiring teacher when in her role as Choreographer. She has previously choreographed for
CDL Youth Musical Theatre (High School Musical in 2008 and Dear Edwina Jr. in 2007)In April 2008, at the
annual awards ceremonies for the Association of Community Theatres of Ontario (ACTCO) Jennifer was nominated for a THEA Award
for Best Choreography as recognition for her work with Scugog Choral Society's MY FAIR LADY. Those who have had the great
fortune to work with Jen, know that she has a great talent for somehow being able to make non-dancers look like
Fred and Ginger, although she'll humbly deny it! She has worked many times as a choreographer
with the Scugog Choral Society (My Fair Lady, Operation Daddy, Annie Get Your Gun, Once Upon a Winter's Eve, Dynamite Dames, Guys and Dolls...). Jennifer
is pleased to be together again with Liz and Cathy as a member of the Creative Team for GREASE, hoping
to further inspire our eager young actors!
MIRIAM BOLSONELLO is our multi-tasking Stage
Manager for GREASE. We are pleased to have Miriam on board this year in this important role! In addition
to being a parent of one of our cast members, Miriam has extensive experience working with kids in theatre. As
a high school educator with the Durham Board of Eduction, Miriam has directed and been involved with several productions with
her school. Her familiarity with the stage and behind-the-scenes work required to put on large-cast school productions
will come in handy with our own 42-member cast! More bio info to come for this Creative Team member.
LAURIE SIDER is our extrordinarily-talented Costume Designer
for the third year running. She is well-known for her great attention to detail and incredible creativity
while typically coming in well under budget. Laurie has worked with Uxperience!, Onstage Uxbridge, Scugog Choral
Society, Uxbridge Youth Musical Theatre and was CDL Youth Musical Theatre's costume designer for HIGH SCHOOL
MUSICAL in 2008 and DEAR EDWINA JR. in 2007. Laurie's enthusiasm and creativity are as contagious
as her laugh! She works hard to make sure every cast member is costumed according to character and we are delighted
to have Laurie on board as one of our Production Team leaders. Yah!
KEN STOWELL-SMITH is our Chief of Construction
for GREASE. Ken and his family (wife Brenda and 3 kids) have all been involved both behind the scenes and onstage
with productions for the Borelians, Scugog Choral Society and now CDL Youth Musical Theatre. Ken has experience in set
construction as well as being the father of one of our cast members. We are grateful to have Ken as part of the Production
Team, knowing the great ideas, skill and experience he brings to the production, especially as it relates to set building.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS as always....are key to our success!
